While chasing rare Longspurs at the Rousseau Sod Farms in Scottsdale on November 7th, 2010, a Sprague's Pipit was something I did not expect. But as I came across my lifer McCown's Longspur, I noticed a bird skulking in the grass behind it. I could tell it was my lifer Sprague's Pipit right away, which outdid the Longspurs that day by a mile. This Pipit provided a crowd of birders with amazing views for several days.
